Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
The Cornerstone Development
The Cornerstone Development is a collaboration between Habitat and Mutual Housing California. Over 400 low income individuals including children will be provided with affordable housing through the Cornerstone Development. Now more ever there is a dire need for Habitat to build affordable homes and create communities like Cornerstone that offers hardworking low-income individuals an opportunity for decent, safe shelter and hope for a better future. Homeownership remains the principal way most families build wealth in this country and break the cycle of generational poverty.
